SUMMACUMFEMMER – The Shelf Life of a Couch ▶

This lecture will deal with time. More precisely, with the timespans and lifecycles of architectural ideas, gestures and materials. We all know it: what was planned to last forever disappears after only a few days; and what was only supposed to last for a moment endures. Two buildings are the protagonists in this lecture. Couches, panes of glass, bathtubs and master plans will play supporting roles.
