Daniel Barber – Architecture in the Overshoot ▶

Should architects be designing for thermal autonomy or discomfort? Preeminent scholar on the histories of environmental design, Professor Daniel Barber, will join the Thinking Room for a lecture on designing through the ‘overshoot’ – the moment when the global carbon budget has been exceeded. His intervention will provide students with the ability to conceptualise their own projects in relation to a post carbon economy, helping them to understand the social, technical, and existential means to achieve greater comfort equity in Australian cities.
